Our Pre-Press Department will accept your job no matter how you choose to provide it:
Prepress functions are quickly and accurately accomplished by six full-time technicians with a minimum of fifteen years, up to twenty-five years experience. This department is equipped with six Mac work stations, one PC work station, one Linotype/Hell “Topaz” scanner; a “Hercules Pro” imagesetter (for film output when required), plus Heidelberg “Topsetter” (computer-to-plate) Platesetter. Naturally, we have the accompanying processors required for both film and plates. All proofs are quickly and accurately produced digitally on our two proofing devices.
Southwest runs all Heidelberg Offset presses – from 12 x 18 two-color; 19x25 two through five-colors; to 20 x 29 six color perfector with Aqueous coater.
All of our press operators have been with us for a minimum of 15 years – and will work to assure that your job will end up looking exactly like you want it to look.
Most of our press runs fall into the short- to medium run length category (1000 to 150,000 impressions)
Also, most common finishing operations – e.g. trimming, scoring, folding, perforating, saddle-stitching – are performed right here in our shop
